Requirements and Process

Applicants to the Doctoral program must have completed an Undergraduate degree in a field related to Social Sciences or Natural and Exact Sciences, as a minimum requirement for admission.

The selection criteria are:

> Academic background
> Educational or professional path
> Objective

The application process consists of two stages:

I. Application. Applicants’ backgrounds are received through the web form between July 1st, and October 8th, 2021. The Certificado de Estado del Postulante en el programa de Postgrado Acreditado (certificate of status of applicant in the accredited graduate program) requested by ANID for applying to the National Doctorate Scholarships, will be issued at the express request of the applicant by sending an email to within the period stipulated by said institution.

II. Selection. Based on the information presented, the Admission Committee hierarchizes each applicant. Those with the highest scores will be subsequently interviewed by the Committee in each dimension, especially in the objective one. In addition, during the interview the candidate must make a five-minute presentation about a relevant research problem.
