On June 9th, 2014, the Centro de Investigación en Complejidad Social (CICS) announced the list of admitted students for its new PhD program in Social Complexity at Universidad del Desarrollo. The admission process began last December, and evaluated more than 120 applicants coming from some of the most important educational institutions in the country. The newly admitted students will be awarded scholarships covering enrollment fees, tuition and living expenses that will allow their full-time dedication to the program, and will facilitate their early insertion into multidisciplinary research teams.
The PhD program in Social Complexity formally begins its activities in August, and is currently awaiting its first generation of students.

- Jarnish Beltrán, PhD in Mathematical Sciences, Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
- Jorge Castillo, B.Sc. Mathematical Engineering, Universidad de Concepción.
- Víctor Landaeta, B.Sc. Physics, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
- Sammy Drobny, B.Sc. Political Science and History, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC).
