The seminary "Modeling Cultural Evolution requires Evolutionary Psychology" was presented by Leda Cosmides

During the past Wednesday, and with an high number of visitors, was held the “Modeling Cultural Evolution requires Evolutionary Psychology” seminary.

This meeting was directed by Leda Cosmides, outstanding psychologist and professor of the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at University of California, Santa Barbara.

In the encounter, Cosmides also shared with the audience her experience in the field, leading her to won the 1988 American Association for the Advancement of Science Prize for Behavioral Science Research, the 1993 American Psychological Association Distinguished Scientific Award for an Early Career Contribution to Psychology, a Guggenheim Fellowship and the 2005 National Institutes of Health Director’s Pioneer Award.

The seminar took place in Cuprum Auditory, in the posgrade building of Universidad del Desarrollo and was organized by the Center for Social Complexity Research.

The seminar was attended by 17 student and two professors of the of the Center for Research in Social Complexity.
