CICS participates in Complex Systems Conference, CCS

The research presented by Jorge at the Social Complexity Sciences was titled “A social network analysis for the bonobos society at Wamba, Congo”.

Jorge Castillo, third-year student of the PhD in Social Complexity (DCCS) at the Social Complexity Research Center (CICS), was selected in a competitive application which could allow him to present an academic poster at the Conference on Complex Systems (CCS) in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The research presented by Jorge at the Social Complexity Sciences was titled “A social network analysis for the bonobos society at Wamba, Congo” and is linked to his doctoral research project and deals with the social networks built by bonobo societies. This research is being carried out together with Oxford’s prominent primatologist Isabel Behncke, and the Director of CICS, doctor in PhD in economics at Cambridge, Carlos Rodriguez-Sickert.
